Not just one of the most beautiful women of the world, Angelina Jolie is also famous for her philanthropic work. The American actress chooses Geneva - a city she knows well, here in 2001 she was recognized and named a UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador at UNHCR headquarters – to introduce a very precious philanthropic work: the jewelry collection Style of Jolie, on display at the inaugural GemGenève Jewelry and gem show that opened its doors yesterday, May 10th, at the Palexpo Conference Centre. Founded in 2012, in collaboration with designer-jeweler Robert Procop, the new Style of Jolie collection embodies the GemGenève’s spirit, including one-of-a-kind emerald jewels and other creations set with coloured stones such as tourmalines, green beryls and citrines. All the pieces are pure and powerful in their architectural and sculptural designs, enriched by gemstones handset by a master craftsman in both 18K rose and yellow gold. Both Ms. Jolie and Mr. Procop have made a commitment to donate 100% of the profits from the Style of Jolie collection to the Education Partnership for Children of Conflict, the charity co-founded by Ms. Jolie. The Partnership has already completed construction of two primary schools in Afghanistan; plans for additional schools are now being prepared.
