Their collaboration has led to something worth talking about: twenty pieces of jewelry, presented at Collina Strada's SS26 fashion show during New York Fashion Week, designed not only to adorn, but also to transform the wearer. The first foray by the New York fashion brand, guided by the surrealist and subversive ideas of Hillary Taymour, storms into the obsessive craftsmanship of Awe Inspired, devoted to creating jewelry as portals, talismans charged with myth and energy.
The creations do not lie politely on the body; they spiral, wrap, “drip” and sparkle. Claws become precious, curls roughly handle candy-cut gems, thorns sink into sorbet-colored stones. The surfaces ripple with movement: impossible but precise. Up close, what appears dreamlike on the catwalk reveals the meticulous technique of fine jewelry: natural stones set by hand, 3D-worked cast metal, obsessive finishes, a level of detail reserved for the most exclusive ateliers.
