Welcome Back Vicenzaoro September 2022

A fuller than ever edition of Vicenzaoro September which, for five days, will see top Italian and foreign brands gather together in almost pre-Covid numbers. Moreover, until the 11th, VO Vintage for jewelry and watch collectors

The title may sound like a cliché, but in the case of Vicenzaoro September, it perfectly sums up the entire sector’s positive trend, recorded by the market – exports up +36.5% in the first five months of 2022 – and by IEG - Italian Exhibition Group - in recent weeks in view of this edition of Europe's leading Jewelry Boutique Show, which brings the numbers almost back to pre-Covid levels. The first important growth figure refers to foreign exhibitors, with companies from India, Hong Kong, China and Thailand returning to the Show alongside top brand regulars, all ready to do business with the dozens of buyers arriving from all over the world thanks to IEG’s incoming program activated with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and ITA, the Italian Trade Agency. Among the big names are some of the most representative of Made in Italy and international brands, such as Roberto Coin, Fope, Damiani, Crivelli, Annamaria Cammilli, Fabergé, Schreiner, Yoko London, Sutra Jewels and Luisa Rosas. A royal line up to which must be added the creativity and desire to experiment in the Design Room, an area specifically for a selection of independent brands. Among the “old acquaintances” and new entries making their Vicenza debut, are Alessio Boschi, José María Goñi, Mousson Atelier, Netali Nissim, Celine Roelens, Cedille Paris and Carmen Aoun, ready as ever to amaze and satisfy the most audacious fantasies with the carats, lines and uniqueness of the pieces on offer. For years Vicenzaoro has accompanied its exhibition area with a full program of events aimed at training and improving the industry’s skills. Numerous initiatives to help attract the new generations to the world of jewelry with the enhancement of technical skills and the concrete offer of job opportunities and professional development. These include Inspiration Boards, a project that, on Sunday 11th, will see young students from IED’s Jewelry Design course in Turin involved, both offline and online: their shots will be posted on the @vo.inspirations profile and Vicenzaoro website, offering their decidedly cutting-edge vision. A comparison between the generations of yesterday, today and tomorrow will be held in the on-stage activities proposed by Confcommercio Federpreziosi: we are referring to Retail Talks, a format that will replace the Digital Talks of previous editions, offering new food for thought on how to face the sector’s future challenges. Carving techniques and selecting precious stones will, as always, be the topic at Gem Talks, organized by IGI Italian Gemological Institute, just one of the trade associations proactive from today to 13th September. Other excellences in attendance include CNA Orafi, Confimi Industria Gold and Silver Category, Assogemme, Assocoral, AFEMO – Association of Jewelry Machinery Manufacturers and Exporters, Club degli Orafi Italia and Cibjo, each in their own way strategic references that look at the sector’s dynamics and problems in the near future with greater awareness and ability to react. Complementary to contemporary jewelry is the world of VO Vintage, which has been enriching Vicenzaoro with that extra charm typical of collectors' items for the last few editions. A vast array of events awaits enthusiasts and insiders, including masterclasses held by experts, speeches by great collectors and masters of haute horlogerie ready to reveal the secrets of a sophisticated art for connoisseurs.
