Oroarezzo: Global Markets and New Strategies for Italian Gold and Jewelry Manufacturing
From May 9–12 in Arezzo, Italian Exhibition Group brings together companies and international buyers, focusing on exports, free trade agreements and practical tools for business growth
The international trade show organized by Italian Exhibition Group and dedicated to gold and jewelry manufacturing will take place from May 9 to 12 at Arezzo Fiere e Congressi. High-quality business opportunities for international markets and concrete tools for companies are the key directions guiding the upcoming edition of Oroarezzo. Between 2024 and 2025, the weight of the main export markets for Italian goldsmithing and jewelry rebalanced in favor of the European Union, the United Arab Emirates, and Switzerland, while the United States remained relatively stable and demand from Turkey declined—although it still remains the leading destination for Made in Italy products. In collaboration with ICE Agenzia, IEG is working to assemble a delegation of hosted buyers from the most strategic markets, with the goal of exceeding the traditional one-to-one ratio between buyers and exhibitors. Among the new developments is the first international congress in Arezzo, scheduled for Monday, May 11, focusing on global markets, geopolitical scenarios, and tools to support business growth, with specific attention to India, France, Switzerland, the United States, Canada, Mercosur, and Africa. “Markets are changing, but interest in Italian gold and jewelry remains strong. That’s why, together with ICE Agenzia, we are working to build a high-profile buyer delegation with particular attention to foreign markets that remain crucial for Arezzo’s manufacturing sector, such as the United States, as well as smaller but dynamic markets like Poland, Canada, and China. This is a collaborative effort, and we are keeping national associations such as Federorafi, local trade associations through the Consulta Orafa, and local institutions—from the Municipality to the Chamber of Commerce and the Province—fully informed, because for IEG the growth of Oroarezzo is a strategic priority. However, our role does not end with bringing together market supply and demand. IEG believes companies must face today’s challenges through enabling experiences as well, such as the sharing of data and analysis. This is why we are organizing a high-profile international congress. Now is not the time to wait for change, but to build it together,” said Matteo Farsura, head of IEG’s jewelry trade shows. In 2025, Oroarezzo hosted more than 370 exhibitors and around 400 invited buyers. For 2026, IEG aims to further strengthen the incoming buyer program, with a significant presence from the United States and the United Arab Emirates, alongside European representation and a targeted selection from Asia, with particular focus on Japan and China. A share of buyers is also expected from the Mercosur region, including Brazil, Mexico, and Panama. Dedicated networking opportunities and initiatives highlighting the cultural heritage of the city will be organized for hosted guests. The international congress will also explore the prospects opened by the free trade agreements between the European Union and Mercosur and by the trade agreement between the European Union and India signed in New Delhi on January 27, with the aim of analyzing the impact of the gradual elimination of customs duties. Discussions will also focus on the decision-making hubs of major brands in France and Switzerland, the reorganization of supply chains between the United States and Canada, and first-entry opportunities in African markets for Italian gold and jewelry manufacturing.
