Oroarezzo 2025: Tuscany’s Winning System
From May 10 to 13, Oroarezzo 2025 celebrates Italian jewelry excellence. Highlights include the Première competition and a focus on young designers, with the theme "Mirror of Time"
Shaping Jewelry Ideas is the claim that defines the 2025 edition of Oroarezzo, four days focused on business revolving around the system of Italian Jewelry excellence, from the goldsmithing and silversmithing manufacturing to the production of machinery and finished products. A tried-and-tested, flawless system that every year attracts international buyers to the "capital" of the Tuscan district from the most strategic markets for local producers, namely the United States, United Arab Emirates, China, and Hong Kong, also thanks to the support of Agenzia ICE and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAECI) in selecting the best interlocutors. The exhibition develops around seven product categories: jewelry and goldsmithing, semi-finished products and components, machinery, precious and semi-precious stones, fashion accessories, visual merchandising and packaging, and cash & carry, a separate pavilion that allows the direct purchase of ready-to-wear products.
The central moment of the event will once again be Première, the prestigious competition that, for 34 editions, has highlighted the creative talent of Italian goldsmithing companies, this year inspired by the theme “Mirror of Time.” “Jewelry becomes a witness of time, reflecting emotions, personality, and style,” says Beppe Angiolini, art director of Oroarezzo and president of the jury. “An object that not only shines but tells stories, a fragment of life that multiplies in the reflections of memory.” With the usual scenographic display at the center of the Chimera pavilion, the unique pieces created for the competition will move between contemporary design and the richness of artisanal tradition, showcasing the endless ability of Italian goldsmithing to reinvent itself.
Matteo Farsura, manager of the Jewellery & Fashion division at IEG, emphasizes: “Première is the beating heart of Oroarezzo, an opportunity for designers to fully express their creativity and, at the same time, an occasion to connect with the international market. Our fair is an incubator of ideas, a stage that celebrates goldsmithing art in all its forms.”
This year, the Première competition not only celebrates jewelry itself but the entire creative process behind it, from design to manufacturing, to its final aesthetics. The jewelry in the competition will be judged by a jury of sector experts, journalists, and fashion opinion leaders, who will select the pieces that best interpret the theme “Mirror of Time.”
In addition to the Première competition, the 2025 edition of Oroarezzo stands out for its focus on young talent, thanks to the “Talents” section, which offers visibility to emerging designers. This section represents a unique opportunity for new creatives to engage with the entrepreneurial world, gaining access to resources and know-how that only the Arezzo goldsmithing district can offer. The winner will have the opportunity to see their project realized, an opportunity that opens the doors to a promising future in the international jewelry design landscape.
The award ceremony for the competition will take place on Sunday, May 11, at Arezzo Fiere e Congressi, and it is expected to be a memorable event, not only celebrating Italian goldsmithing excellence but also creativity, innovation, and the deep bond that unites the goldsmithing district with the rest of the world.
