VO Plus: The September Issue

New Rules, what are they, if there are any, and how does jewelry today express itself and communicate under these new principles?

Reinventing the Rules or, simply, are they the New Rules? And what are they, if there are any, and how does jewelry today express itself and communicate under these new principles? We talked to many about them in this issue, listening to those who were able to successfully create a lively dialogue between fashion and jewelry. I’m talking about Sarah Andelman, the founder of Colette, the historic Parisian temple of luxury, closed last December, which opens the issue with an inspiring point of view; Delfina Delettrez, the bold interpreter of a lively and creative Italian style that still makes a difference; and the youthful Charlotte Chesnais, Claire O’Keefe, Eugenia Oliva and Sophie McKay, who changed courses after reaching important goals, launching their own jewelry brands. A wide-ranging vision that draws on a patrimony rooted in the value of Heritage. We’ll listen to those who have made a career of this, or rather those who manage or curate the archives of Bulgari, Cartier and Van Cleef & Arpels. These new rules are valuable also for the retail segment, talked about in a new special section and analyzed for its many digital variations, and for fashion jewelry, from the design to the distribution and production.
