The best jewelry Maisons celebrate the design week in Milan with special happenings
The next week, from 4 to 9 April, the world of design is bringing in Milan its latest trends with events and exhibitions that will animate the entire city. Many important brands will introduce their new collections and host special events with live music and entertainment. Some of the most important jewelry brands will not miss the occasion to share their passion and sensibility to this culture with special happenings celebrating the world of design and its creativity.
Misani
In its boutique in the heart of Brera, the historical Milanese jewelry brand Misani presents Sign Filo, the iconic armchair designed by Piergiorgio Cazzaniga for MDF Italia, creating a special contest which is a perfect combination between the lightness and simplicity of the chair and Misani creations: 45 meters of steel wire with gold finish are drawing the silhouette of Sign Filo whose creation process evokes the ancient fine-jewelry technique of filigree. As for the creation of Misani jewels, the individual components of the seat are assembled manually by the artisan.

Francesca Mo
Francesca Mo presents jewels 'new entry' of the 'Tales' collection inside the JVstore of Jannelli&Volpi. In a perfect harmony with the event ‘Wallpaper Rhapsody’ by Jannelli&Volpi, her new jewels tells stories of animals: marine, such as dolphins, jumping among the waves of the sea or the ducks, which in pairs are made to rock by the water, or even wild animals such as foxes running free in the woods.

Cartier presents the new ‘Juste un Clou and Écrou de Cartier’ collections with the exhibition ‘When the Ordinary becomes Precious’: A pop up installation at the Garage Sanremo, in the heart of historical Milano, will explore the theme of appropriating everyday hardware elements as jewelry.

At its boutique, Pomellato hosts a site-specific wallpaper installation exclusively handmade by Misha Wallpaper and inspired by the iconic chains linked to the craftsmanship tradition of the Milanese Maison.

Piaget
Piaget dedicates the main window of its via Verri Boutique to Roberto Palomba e Ludovica Serafini, the most celebrated couple in ‘Made in Italy design’, previewing one of their design creations produced exclusively by Driade. To mark this special liaison, on 4th April the Piaget Boutique will be the location for an exclusive cocktail party featuring an exceptional setup created especially for the event by PalombaSerafini to present the new Driade icon.

The Fuorisalone is also a good occasion to meet the contemporary work of new jewelry designers. At Open lab in Via Savona, 20 you will discover the ancient goldsmith art of six artisans and designers with a different style and a common passion: handmade jewels (pic in cover). You will have the opportunity to have a brief with the artists to design a unique pieced a ‘one of a kind piece’ customed for you or, as a precious gif, to yours beloved.
In the near Tortona street at Officina 14, Altrosguardo showroom will propose their collections of contemporary jewelry and objects of emotional design, unique and unrepeatable, the result of a sophisticated harmony between craftsmanship, art and design.
