The Ritz in Paris is back

The Ritz in Paris is back

After four years, Paris’s most iconic hotel Ritz Paris is finally reopened.

Now freshly restored, its 224-year-old walls will welcome guests to rediscover a unique atmosphere and the inimitable French art de vivre. Much of the property’s $200 million-plus renovation was in the spirit of a face-lift rather than an overhaul; rooms bear the same toile and gilt aesthetic as before, but now in a series of romantic pastel color palettes. A favorite destination among the famous and powerful, the hotel has faithfully restored the signature decors of celebrated guests in its Prestige Suites. Marcel Proust, Frédéric Chopin, Coco Chanel and the Duke and Duchess of Windsor all opted for furnishings that reflected their personality, a décor of absolute sophistication and the tranquility of a sweeping view over the place Vendôme.
