Arezzo: The Jewelry Summit Kicks Off

The third edition of the Jewelry Summit, organized by Italian Exhibition Group, will take place on Friday, 1st December, in the Auditorium at Arezzo Fiere e Congressi

What will become of Made in Italy jewelry in the near future? This is the question at the heart of the third “Italian Jewelry Summit” organized by IEG, Arezzo Municipal Council, the Arezzo-Siena Chamber of Commerce, Arezzo Fiere e Congressi and the trade associations, scheduled for Friday 1st December in Arezzo. An event that focuses on all supply chain and market dynamics, opportunities and challenges, first and foremost the issue of attracting new generations of designers and workers and supporting a demand that, as reported by Confindustria Moda’s Research Centre on ISTAT data for Federorafi, in the first half of 2023 recorded a double-digit, +15.3% increase in gold, silverware and jewelry exports. After the opening and institutional greetings from Maurizio Ermeti, President of Italian Exhibition Group, Alessandro Ghinelli, Mayor of Arezzo, Massimo Guasconi, President of the Arezzo-Siena Chamber of Commerce, and Ferrer Vannetti, President of Arezzo Fiere e Congressi, the program will include an interview with Maurizio Forte, Director of the Made in Italy Promotion Coordination Office, on “New geopolitical scenarios and markets for Made in Italy exports in 2024”. This will be followed by the Première Oroarezzo competition’s award ceremony for the best design 2023 in the Talents category with Beppe Angiolini, Art director Oroarezzo, and Mauro Benvenuto, President of CNA Orafi Arezzo representing the Arezzo Goldsmiths' Council; an interview with Luca Parrini, President of Confartigianato Goldsmiths and Silversmiths on the theme of support for the very young. There will then be a discussion with Giordana Giordini, President of Confindustria’s Southern Tuscany Goldsmiths on the prospects for exports in 2024 and Italian manufacturing companies’ priorities; a double interview with Francesco Ponzi from Ponzi Gioielli and Simone Haddad from AB World, moderated by Steven Tranquilli; and lastly, Vincenzo Aucella, President of Assocoral and Vice President of Federpreziosi Confcommercio, will present “The Sustainable Coral Supply Chain”. The morning will end with a speech by skuola.net co-founder and director Daniele Grassucci and the presentation of IEG’s Jewelry Agenda for 2024 by Corrado Peraboni, CEO Italian Exhibition Group S.p.A. and Marco Carniello, Global Exhibition Director Jewellery & Fashion Italian Exhibition Group S.p.A.
