Shining Bright: The Success of the IJS Istanbul Jewelry Show 2024

The Istanbul Jewelry Show 2024 wrapped up a stunning edition, welcoming over 20,000 buyers from 134 countries, showcasing the latest industry trends and providing networking opportunities

The IJS Istanbul Jewelry Show, one of the five largest jewelry fairs in the world, recently concluded with remarkable success. The event featured 1,000 brands and companies from 14 countries, providing a significant trading platform for industry professionals and attracting attention from buyers from 134 nations.

During the October event, 34% of the visitors were foreign buyers, primarily from countries such as Iran, Egypt, Algeria, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Russia, India, and the United States. The 2025 edition is set to take place from April 16 to 19, continuing the tradition of hosting the jewelry world biannually in Istanbul.

Sponsored by Elmas Kule and supported by HRD Antwerp in the Buyers’ Lounge, the 56th IJS Istanbul Jewelry Show welcomed 20,831 buyers in a vibrant atmosphere filled with opportunities. Şermin Cengiz, founding partner of IJS, stated, “Despite political challenges and global economic slowdown, we have created an important trade and cooperation platform for industry professionals from around the world.”

For the first time, the 2025 collections were presented at the fair, with brands showcasing innovative and eye-catching designs. The product variety was impressive, ranging from gold jewelry to diamonds, emeralds, silver, and pearls. The IJS Tech section displayed cutting-edge equipment and technologies, featuring everything necessary for the jewelry sector, from machinery to display accessories.

The fair also hosted special events aimed at inspiring jewelers. WGSN, the world’s leading trend-forecasting company, presented a report specifically prepared for the IJS, offering insights for future collections. The “Art for Jewellery: Inspiration Hub,” organized in collaboration with the Jewellery Exporters' Association, received significant attention, highlighting art and artists within the jewelry field. In the Designer Club section, master craftsmen showcased their skills with impactful collections.
