The First 40 Years of the Istanbul Jewelry Show
From April 1 to 4, IJS brought together over 1,300 companies from 15 countries and more than 21,000 industry professionals, strengthening its leadership in the Middle Eastern region
The April edition of the IJS Istanbul Jewelry Show—one of the most prestigious events in the jewelry and goldsmithing sector—has come to a close, celebrating its 40th anniversary this year. Over four days, the exhibition welcomed 21,321 professional visitors from 111 countries. Among the nations with the highest attendance were Türkiye, Egypt, Germany, Bulgaria, Uzbekistan, the Russian Federation, Algeria, Tunisia, North Macedonia, Romania, the United Kingdom, Azerbaijan, Saudi Arabia, Iran, the United States, Greece, Kazakhstan, Serbia, Colombia, Morocco, and Kosovo, with a significant increase compared to last year’s edition in visitors from the Balkans, Central Europe, North Africa, and South America.On the exhibitor side, more than 1,300 companies and brands from Türkiye and 15 other countries presented their latest and most exclusive collections to visitors. At the IJS Istanbul Jewelry Show, commercial relationships were not the sole focus; knowledge sharing also played a central role. Seminars and workshops featuring leading figures from the industry attracted strong interest from attendees.Among the trending highlights were diamond sets worth millions, large-stone jewelry, nature-inspired designs, and gold creations featuring cultural motifs. In the IJS Tech area, the most advanced technologies, machinery, and equipment for jewelry manufacturing were also showcased.Within the Art for Jewellery: Inspiration Hub, organized for the eighth time with the support of the Jewellery Exporters’ Association, topics ranged from global competition strategies and communication trends to WGSN 2026/2027 forecasts and AI-supported design. Meanwhile, workshops held under the IJS Academy offered hands-on experiences in techniques such as stone engraving, necklace design, filigree work, and motif cutting.The next appointment with the second annual edition of the IJS Istanbul Jewelry Show will take place once again at the Istanbul Expo Center from September 30 to October 3, 2026.
