Vicenzaoro Highlights, January 2023: Gismondi Jewelry Qatar is Born
A five-year contract with the Al Mana family in Qatar has been signed for the distribution of Gismondi 1754 throughout the Arabian Gulf countries
Gismondi 1754 continues its international development and has landed in Qatar. The company headed by Massimo Gismondi has, in fact, recently signed a five-year franchising agreement (with a renewal option be- tween the parties on expiry) with the Al Mana family for the distribution of the brand's jewelry in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) area, which today includes Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Oman and the United Arab Emirates. The new company arising from this agreement is called “Gis- mondi Jewellery Qatar” and is tasked with developing the business for both the retail and wholesale channels with a program of new openings with Gis- mondi 1754 branded shops throughout the GCC area, the first of which has been scheduled for June 2023 in Doha. This will be followed by openings in Riyadh and Jeddah in Saudi Arabia, and then those in Kuwait, Oman and the United Arab Emirates. The Al Mana family links its history to the world of Qatari entrepreneurship with the Al Mana Group, a company founded in the 1950s and today one of the coun- try's most important organizations with interests in multiple sectors, including luxury goods. This is an agreement of great value for Gismondi 1754, which will now have the opportunity to expand its presence and the sale of its jewelry in the GCC area, one of the world’s fastest growing economies for many years. «We are highly honored to have reached this agreement because Qatar, together with the Arab countries of the Gulf, greatly appreciates our jew- elry and opening a franchising channel directly in that area can only favor the development of a well-structured retail and wholesale market that promises to give great satisfaction. 2023 will be an important year for the international development of Gismondi 1754, also in the USA and Europe, Italy included.»
