Vicenzaoro Highlights, January 2024: The Anniversary of Excellences

From local product trade fair to the longest-running international event in the world. This is the excursus of Vicenzaoro from 1954 to today, which is celebrating its “first” 70 years with an exhibition and a richer than ever edition

Interpreting the moment, adapting to new challenges and needs, evolving and even anticipating what is to come. The precious heritage of Vicenzaoro, which, in 2024, is celebrating its “first” seventy years with this edition in January 2024, is the combination of all these abilities, which have led it to become one of the world’s top three B2B events for the jewelry sector as well as the longest-running. Vicenzaoro January 24 will also be the last edition to be held with the current exhibition set-up due to the start, in February, of the Expo Center’s redevelopment work aimed at increasing space and usability and implementing and modernizing services to push global networking even further. A point of arrival, but also of restart, perfectly summarized by the claim The Heritage for Tomorrow, where “for” is precisely indicative of Italian Exhibition Group’s effort, which has always been aimed at the future. A success made possible, it must be underlined, thanks to IEG's human capital as well as to the companies, customers, buyers, institutions, associations and media, which, over the years, have contributed to increasing the numbers, quality and strategic leadership of the event. During these days of the show, a reminder of this long and copious chronological journey, which embraces the entire territory and its goldsmithing tradition, will be given by a seven-stage exhibition, one for each decade, set up in the halls that will focus on the themes, places, treasures, personalities and events that occurred in these seven decades. In this justly celebratory context, Vicenzaoro’s strength, as always, lies in its numbers which are increasing in all the event's assets: more than 1. 300 exhibitors in the gold and jewelry manufacturing sector with a range that goes from fashion brands to high jewelry, about forty watch brands in the Time B2B format, and a good +22% more dealers compared to the last edition of VO Vintage, an appointment open to the public of fine vintage watch and jewelry collectors, dealers and enthusiasts, now at its fifth edition with an even greater selection of fine pieces. Worthy of special mention is T.Gold, which, with over 170 companies from 18 countries, confirms its role as a techno-oriented hub for the entire supply chain. The first appointment on the trade show calendar for the jewelry industry, T.Gold is, to all intents and purposes, the catalyst for the sector’s evolution, offering a complete and up-to-date showcase where experts, market leaders and innovators find the most suitable fertile ground for dialogue and establishing fruitful collaborations. Visitor routes have been designed to allow buyers to discover all the latest innovations and are organized into six macro-categories: alloys and galvanic treatments, prototyping and digital production, machining, assembly and welding, refining and recovery, finishing and tooling. Sustainability, performance, craftsmanship and cross-contamination are confirmed once again this year as the main drivers of development for optimizing production processes, as will be evident from an insight visit but also from the numerous talks scheduled for Sunday 21st as part of the JTF Jewellery Technology Forum, now a regular event for discussion and mutual growth.
