Vicenzaoro Highlights, January 2026: VO Vintage Continues to Grow
Between vintage jewelry and watch dealers, a total of 55 exhibitors at this edition of the project, 25% more than last year
A journey through precious period items with 28 of the best Italian and international vintage jewelry dealers and 27 second-hand watch dealers is available to enthusiasts and anyone else in the dedicated area on the mezzanine floor of Hall 8.1 inside the Expo Center. Jewelry exhibitors include Zagari from Naples, a fifth-generation jeweler specializing in vintage signed jewelry, antique-cut diamonds, and colored stones. E.L.A. Antichità from Bergamo, a reference point in Italy for enthusiasts of antique and vintage jewelry for 25 years. I Santi Medici, an art space in La Spezia, which features precious period pieces from noble collections, each with its own unique story. Crema-based Italian Vintage Jewellery, founded by two gemologists with experience working for major international diamond and jewelry companies, caters to a clientele of informed collectors who appreciate gemological quality. EL&L Finery by Lisa Finkelman van der Plas brings the experience and taste of a “daughter of art” known for unique European collectibles, ranging from late 19th- to early 20th-century antiques to vintage pieces from the 1960s to the 1980s. As for watches: Vintage Watches by Stefano Mazzariol, Vintage Watches and Cars by Andrea Foffi, Il Quadrante by Antonio Nocco, Prezioso, Vintage Watches Milano, and Mr. Tempo Prezioso, to name but a few. In addition to the abundant and prestigious exhibition offer, VO Vintage is packed with events and exhibition itineraries: the GMT-Master with Gilt dials (1960–1967) exhibition is an absolute must-see. A technology that has now been abandoned, the Gilt dial marked an era from 1960 to 1967 with its shine and warm gold tones. VO Vintage is exhibiting 15 of them to the public, all in chronological order, thanks to loans from private individuals and dealers. A comprehensive exhibition of memorabilia and historical advertising materials, curated by Fabrizio Artioli, Marco Di Falco and Andrea Piccinini, who will be talking to Italian experts today. Further vintage world events, all in the Canova Room, include: at 11.30 am, “The States General of Vintage”, a discussion between some of Italy’s top collectors – Stefano Mazzariol, Tony Musumeci, Andrea Foffi and Antonio Nocco – in dialogue with Michele Mengoli, Giorgione and Jacopo Giudici; at 2 pm, Professor Guido Pancani from the Fondation Haute Horlogerie in Geneva will present his History of Italian Watchmaking, a journey from its medieval origins to the rebirth of Made in Italy; concluding at 3 pm with a presentation of the book GMT-Master 1675 – The Gilt Era, a publication full of technical analyses, material and production process studies, with useful comparisons between various specimens and in-depth looks at the cultural and design context of the 1960s.
