Vicenzaoro Highlights, September 2023: AI and The Future of Jewerly

An innovative tool for creativity, artificial intelligence can unveil unknown and exciting worlds even in the jewelry sector, as told by Paola De Luca

The new edition of The Jewellery Trendbook 2025+, a veritable industry "bible" for understanding future jewelry scenarios, was created by using artificial intelligence to produce the images and texts it contains. A way to concretely apply one of the most discussed and controversial tools of recent years, demonstrating the extraordinary opportunities it can offer. A vision that Paola De Luca - Co-Founder and Creative Director of Trendvision Jewellery + Forecasting, IEG's independent Observatory - outlined during the meeting entitled “A.I. Art Intelligence: will human creativity survive artificial intelligence?”, held last Sunday at the Palladio Theatre in Vicenzaoro. Four guests were called upon to tell their personal journey made up not only of creativity and skill, but also of research and experimentation: Nadine Kanso, Creative Director & Designer; Stefano Russo, Creative Director & Designer; Lalla and Davide Busatti, Co-Founders & Creative Directors of Busatti 1947 and Sienna O'Rourke, A.I. Artist and Founder of Planet Fantastique, all took turns on the Palladio Theatre stage, invigorating the room with a creative and entrepreneurial energy consisting of culture, talent and a way of thinking that only a human mind is able to develop and that can never be replaced by any digital tool. However, what new technologies such as AI can offer are unimaginable new ways forward, which, when combined with human skills, make it possible to design an inexistent object so realistically that it actually becomes real.
