K-ALS is an advanced high-temperature vacuum distillation technology designed to meet the refining needs of jewelry manufacturers and small refineries working with high silver-content alloys. This compact, cost-effective, and sustainable furnace enables the pre-treatment of various raw materials, reducing the silver content to less than 10%.
One of its key applications is in the refining of waste gold from jewelry casting sprues, which must be recovered and reused. Traditionally, this process is carried out using Aqua Regia, a method that leads to metal loss, high chemical consumption, and the production of fumes and effluents. When the silver content exceeds 10%, the batches require additional treatments, making the process less efficient.
Another important application involves powders generated from scraping operations, which contain valuable precious metals. Through an efficient combination of vacuum distillation and traditional refining methods, these powders can be processed back into pure gold, optimizing material recovery.
K-ALS also offers an innovative alternative to the inquarto process. By leveraging vacuum distillation, it enables the selective evaporation of silver from raw materials without the use of chemicals, eliminating by-products and effluents that typically accumulate in the separation process.
