The “Recovery Plan”? Here it’s called MFR and REM

Investing in La Fonte machinery for recovering precious metals after processing immediately pays off

La Fonte was founded in 1975 as a company specialized in constructing pumps and liquid movement, filtering and purifying systems for electroplating baths and corrosive liquid in general, systems that guarantee a rapid return on investments due to precious metal recovery (up to 99%) and waste reduction. From the new 4,000 mÇ premises in Vedano Olona near Varese, the company’s machines, many of which can be customized to the customers’ needs, are exported to over 50 countries. Among the most successful are the MFR Metal Filter Recovery systems that recover the metal component from waste produced by tumblers, rinses and ultrasound baths. The wide range of interchangeable filtering elements offers the best solutions for every need: the core of these systems is the bath with carbon basket that absorbs the metals in the solution as well as any soaps. The technical features include considerable chemical, mechanical and corrosion resistance, screws, anodes and titanium connectors, easy management with minimal maintenance, and compactness. The Elettrolitico REM (Electrolytic Recovery System), on the other hand, is used in the electroplating (gold, nickel, palladium recovery etc.) and printed circuit board sectors as well as for surface treatment on jewelry. The pump circulates the liquid deposited in the collection tank and any metal to be recovered from the solution (gold, palladium, rhodium, silver, copper…) deposits onto the cathode and is subsequently recovered by smelting. In this case too, precious metal recovery reaches 99%, thus ensuring a rapid return on investment.
