The Success of T.Gold in Hong Kong

IEG at HKJS. With the format T.GOLD International + Mets and the trend observatory TRENDVISION Jewelery + Forecasting to support Made in Italy


The 36th edition of the Hong Kong International Jewelery Show (HKJS) has just closed its doors. From February 28th to March 4th it has also seen two Made in Italy export products, or rather in Vicenzaoro, one of the main events at world dedicated to the goldsmith-jeweler sector: T.GOLD INTERNATIONAL + METS and TRENDVISION Jewelery + Forecasting. On the occasion of the HKIJS, IEG has accompanied a selection of Italian companies, leaders in the field of the most innovative machinery and technologies applied to gold, precious and color stones and jewels with the T.GOLD International format. T.Gold is the International exhibition dedicated to technologies for the different processes of jewelery that this year saw the 41st edition take place in January, simultaneously with Vicenzaoro January (18-23 January 2019), with numbers demonstrating the the liveliness of a sector in which Italy still knows how to impose itself: 161 exhibitors from 17 countries, + 20% of new exhibitors, + 11% of exhibition space, and buyers from more than 70 countries. At HKJS, for the fourth consecutive year, the partnership between T.Gold International and Mets (the first international professional trade fair in Asia, organized by HKJJA Exhibition Services Ltd.) has been very strategic, for the promotion of technological innovation and the creation of modern jewelry and watchmaking in Asia. In this specific area it was possible to admire cutting-edge equipment, innovative production technologies, examples of rapid prototyping, materials and workshop equipment, tools and materials useful for the production of jewelry and watches. Among the companies present, Sisma Spa, Legor Group Hong Kong Limited, Ombi Srl, Cimo Srl, Ompar and Fasti Industriale Spa, worthy representatives of Made in Italy.

Commenting on this experience, Marco Carniello, Jewelery & Fashion Division Director of IEG said: «In terms of gold and jewellery technologies, IEG proposes a calendar based on Italian companies that wants to maximize their presence abroad. T.Gold is absolutely IEG’s top trade show product for the sector but IEG also offers ompanies many other opportunities for export. Oroarezzo/Tech in Arezzo is particularly oriented towards promoting Italian foreign sales while initiatives on the main markets of reference will be in Dubai, Mumbai and HK, where Italy is represented at the most important trade shows for those areas.» 
Also on this occasion, IEG confirmed itself as an ambassador of Italian excellences and, in collaboration with AFEMO - Association of Metalworking Exporter Machines Manufacturers, has built new opportunities to facilitate direct relations between Italian companies producing the most advanced technologies and goldsmiths and producers. jewelers from all over the world. These are the words of Gianluigi Barettoni, President of AFEMO: «The greatest point of satisfaction in 2018 has been completing the IBC project. If it is true, as it seems to be, that China is an essential market, this project could be at the centre of our internationalization activities for the next five years. There are two basic objectives: exporting our products in a free-tax area in China; the development of commercial activities in China.»

The Asian appointment was also attended by TRENDVISION Jewelery + Forecasting, the specialized permanent Observatory, on a global level, in the trends of the jewelery world, the attitudes of consumers and trends in the international luxury market. These days in Hong Kong the TrendBook 2020+ was presented, the most authoritative guide for the key players in the jewelery and luxury sector, published by IEG, which 18 months in advance interprets the emerging phenomena and offers the analysis of the Mega Trends intended to influence the evolution and choices of consumers.
