Rado And Istituto Marangoni's Design Week
With the Milan Design Week, Rado launches Natural Freedom at Superstudio Più
The annual appointment between the Swiss watch company Rado and Istituto Marangoni, the Milanese School of Design, is here once again. Design Week will include the prize-giving ceremony for the finalists of the Rado Star Prize Italia 2018, which this year was inspired by the theme of 'Natural Freedom'. Among the 25 students, the 5 designs selected have had the chance to take part in creating a pop-up store set up inside Superstudio Più in via Tortona. The students developed the initial 'Natural Freedom' concept, declining it into three categories: 'Natural is back', 'Luxury time' and 'Rethinking Space, Lifestyle and Needs'. The jury, which selected five of the most interesting works, coherent with Rado's philosophy, will meet again for the Award Ceremony on Monday 16th April to present the award to the student who, within the team, was able to introduce innovative elements in line with the starting brief. The outright winner of the competition will receive a cash prize and a Rado watch.
The Rado 'Natural Freedom‘ project, in partnership with Istituto Marangoni, will be on display until 22nd April in via Tortona 27. At the same time, visitors will be able to admire the six Rado True watches produced in collaboration with some of the top names in design, exclusive creations in limited editions by Sam Amoia, Rainer Mutsch, Big Game, Philippe Nigro, Kunihiko Morinaga and Oskar Zieta.
