Simone Rocha gives pearls a new style that is as undisciplined as it is aristocratic
Transforming romanticism into a contemporary ornamental element is something that has always been Simone Rocha’s creative strength. For the coming Spring/Summer 2021, the Irish-born designer demonstrates all her talent for re-interpreting volumes and aristocratic decorations in a modern key. The dominating factor is an “undisciplined” application of pearls and crystals, used to create bodices, headwear and net bags or to embroider profiles and stitching on dresses. An extreme look that is not afraid of imposing a virtuously extravagant elegance.
