The current artistic director of Balmain was the “guest designer” for the latest Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2022-2023 collection by Jean Paul Gaultier, who, since officially retiring from the catwalks in January 2020, continues to invite other designers to reinterpret the company’s codes. Rousteing wanted to pay a sincere tribute to the great couturier who had always been his inspiration, turning even bijoux into a celebration of tailoring.
