From today until 14th June, the 7 Artists for 7 days exhibition, now at its fourth edition, will be open to the public. One week entirely dedicated to contemporary jewelry welcomes visitors at the MydayByday Gallery in Rome. Through a painstaking search, Laura Helena Aureli, exhibition curator and owner of the gallery, personally selected the artists, an important detail that makes it different to from previous events. In fact, Laura “launched” an open call via Instagram and Facebook, where, using tags, she managed to link to the profiles of those artists who applied through the social networks. Moreover, as she explains, the search included contacts with various schools and universities all over the world that were extremely interested in the project. «My personal way of searching wants to make room for new faces and talents. I am interested in getting artists to speak through their works, giving voice to all those who have a story to tell,» she continues. «My search has no limits, anyone is totally free to express themselves: age, gender, materials and level of skill/experience do not restrict my choice.» This year’s edition is truly unique because it is a digital visual exhibition, available both on and off-line. This user modality is designed to break down distance barriers and unite people. Nobody has been left out, everyone can be involved and enjoy an experience with contemporary jewelry, wherever they may be. The exhibition can be seen on-line on the gallery’s social channels until the end of the year.
