Fabio Salini on Sale at Sotheby’s Exhibition
Cherry blossoms earrings by Fabio Salini are among the jewelry creation of In Bloom, a Sotheby’s exhibition opening today in New York
Italian jewelry designer Fabio Salini is one of the protagonists of In Bloom, a Sotheby’s exhibition opening today in NY. Curated by Carol Woolton and Frank Everett, this selling exhibition traces the evolution of the flower as a design motif in jewelry from the 19th century to the present. «I’m really honored to be included in this important project with my carbon fiber, titanium, gold, diamonds, fancy sapphires and opals earrings. A special thank to the curators», stated Salini on his Instagram profile. The earrings he created are very elaborate and show all the talent of the Roman designer: they are designed as branches of cherry blossoms, set with oval, marquise and pear-shaped cabochon opals, pavé-set with round multi-colored sapphires, lined with round diamonds, on carbon fiber stems. Among the others pieces we find the ones created jewelry houses such as David Webb, Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels and Verdura, as well as contemporary designs from Sabba, Shaun Leane, and Cindy Chao.
