Robert Procop Goes for Charity

Jewels for Charity. This is the mission of the latest collections designed by Robert Procop and two of his Vip friends, Angelina Jolie e Brooke Shields by Anthony de Marco

Robert Procop and his Hollywood friends create Jewels for Charity. Few people in the jewelry industry have his connections. In 2013, he unveiled a collection of high jewels created with Angelina Jolie called “Style of Jolie” with all the proceeds used to build schools for girls in impoverished countries. The collection was made with a stellar group of emeralds, black spinels, citrines, rubellite, green beryl and white quartz set in rose gold. Many of the gems were in a “tablet” shape, a unique cut specified by Jolie. In 2015, Procop teamed with his long time friend, actress and model, Brooke Shields, to produce a collection called “Legacy Brooke” to benefit the House of Ruth, a transitional housing shelter for women and children who are victims of domestic violence. Procop has been a liated with the program for about 30 years, first helping to restore and repair a four bedroom house the organization originally owned. The second group of jewels based on the collection was unveiled last June during the Couture Show in Las Vegas. The new creations include long earrings and sautoirs with matching rings and bracelets. Unlike the statement gems and high jewels Procop normally works with, they chose to make “Legacy Brooke” accessible. The dominate gems are rose quartz, amethyst, white quartz, colored topaz, white sapphires and white jade cut into sugarloaf cabochon shapes. The collection is based on Shields preference for certain colors and her French in uences. «Everything about her involves French taste, like the royal purple color, French-style ligree and the four sided, rounded shapes...» Sales from the first collection resulted in a recreational center for the House of Ruth.
