Roberto Bravo's Passion for Orchids

It's an Orchidelirium that explores the world of jewelry through pieces in gold and enamel.

Roberto Bravo's collection Black Orchids reproduces the shapes of the flower thanks to the use of gold, precious stones and fired enamel.  It symbolizes admiration, respect, dignity and royalty, as orchids are considered symbols of love because of the fact that the plants grow easily and bloom under most conditions. During the Victorian era, it was a custom to gift exotic and rare flowers to show love and affection. It was even believed that rarer the flower you chose as a gift, deeper was your love. In parts of Europe, orchids were used as a key ingredient in love potions, and the name Orchidelirium is in fact given to the Victorian era of flower madness when collecting and discovering orchids reached extraordinaily high levels. Wealthy orchid fanatics of the 19th century sent explorers and collectors to almost every part of the world in search of new varities of orchids. Roberto Bravo pays homage to this amazing and powerful flower, with a sumptuous jewelry collection, that is a signature of the brand's skill in making such refined jewelry pieces.
