Stefania Lucchetta Is Back In Venice

Stefania Lucchetta is presenting her jewels during the 58th Biennale di Venezia at The Sign, the new concept store

An artist and designer from Bassano del Grappa, Stefania Lucchetta is doing her second solo exhibition in Venice for the 58th Biennale di Venezia. The Sign, a new concept store located a stone’s throw from St. Mark’s Square, was chosen for this event. ‘L’Arte Addosso’ showcases the research and innovation of the meeting between jewelry and different worlds, such as those of design, architecture and art. The extraordinary ‘Cattedrali’ collection is an example of this. The designs were inspired by the famous Venetian arched windows, typical to a style that brought great artistic change. In fact, the gothic style is a great example of creativity and architectural courage, with the lightness, verticality, transparency and luminosity that come with it.  And Stefania Lucchetta is about to bring change to the jewelry industry as well. The artist is a pioneer in the use of design software and rapid prototyping machines. She has been working with these things for almost twenty years with a unique approach that opens up new avenues for contemporary jewelry. Titanium is one of her preferred materials as it is hard, difficult to alter, weatherproof and even hypoallergenic. A metal whose characteristics and lightness increase the possibilities of creating large jewels with appealing color effects. The artist will also be showing great classics, such as the Crystal and Sponges rings until 13 July.
