From mosaics to micromosaics, from sculpture to glyptics, from architecture to jewelry art. The exhibition at the National Etruscan Museum of Villa Giulia, in collaboration with the Bvlgari Foundation, highlights some incredible Roman roots in jewelry creation and explores the role and influence that Roman culture has had—and continues to have—on contemporary jewelry design. This reflection is deepened by Gislain Aucremanne, ambassador, curator, and spokesperson for the historical heritage of the Roman brand: «The enduring legacy of ancient Rome continues to influence and inspire contemporary jewelry design. From the refined and sophisticated goldsmithing of the Etruscans to the archaeological revival of Castellani jewels, these dialogues with history are constantly renewed and reinterpreted through Bvlgari’s modern creations. Far from being mere aesthetic references, ancient forms and techniques—such as coins, cameos, or intaglios—become true living languages, bearing witness to the timeless value of classical heritage in shaping today’s artistic and material culture».
