Ilaria Cardi: Back to the Origins
The launch of Ilaria Cardi's homonymous brand celebrates the paternal archive, the result of a goldsmith's work that has remained in the history of the Valencian district
For Ilaria Icardi, the launch of her eponymous jewelry brand in 2021 was not so much a debut as a return to her origins. After a long career in the world of luxury, where she worked for famous contemporary fashion brands, the designer decided to revive the vast archive of her father, Umberto Icardi, a Valenza goldsmith who, in the 1960s, boasted clients such as Tiffany & Co. and Cartier. The new jewelry, conceived in London but made to order in Italy, well preserves the artisanal strength of an important national territory in a sophisticatedly nonchalant style.
