Inspired by the vibrant colors and the graphic prints found in many of the textile markets across West Africa, Lolita Lorenzo is a luxury brand founded by Carol Muthiga, a Kenyan-American artist and designer, who creates accessories matching a fine blend of ancient techniques and modern materials. The design concept for Lolita Lorenzo is to produce unique ‘gemstones’ inspired by the infinite variety of Tourmalines found in different parts of the world. Italian artisans carefully handcraft all the bags making them as precious as special. The accessories incorporate African wax fabrics with plexiglass, to create a 3-D effect featuring a technique, which makes every clutch unique. The interior is fully lined with Italian grosgrain silk and has a detachable chain.
