Bird on a Rock: Love Birds by Tiffany, the New Collection Inspired by the Maison's Emblematic Symbol

Tiffany & Co.’s iconic diamond bird returns, now even more precious, in the brand’s new capsule collection

Tiffany & Co. presents Bird on a Rock: Love Birds, a new high jewelry capsule that breathes new life into one of the Maison’s most iconic motifs, infusing it with fresh emotion and personality. The diamond bird, reimagined with expressive flair, appears more alive than ever, soaring through the air before settling on extraordinary gemstones, in a dialogue between visionary creativity and the gemological excellence that has defined Tiffany & Co. since 1837. Each piece is designed to interact with a complementary jewel, creating a synergy between the bird motif and rare, exceptional stones. "The Love Birds are descendants of the Bird on a Rock. They continue the tradition of this iconic bird and must remain unique," explains Nathalie Verdeille, Chief Artistic Officer, Jewelry and High Jewelry, Tiffany & Co. "The gemstones that accompany them play a crucial role: we select each one for its character, beauty, and personality, because every stone has its own unique story." The Love Birds pin sets play on gemstone contrasts: one cabochon, the other faceted. One example pairs two extraordinary rubellites – an oval over 36 carats and a round cabochon over 62 carats – offering two interpretations of the same gem, exploring its color, shape, and character. Other pairings create a poetic tension between different species, such as morganite and rubellite, black opal and orange topaz, or gray moonstone and pink tourmaline, highlighting the rarity and individuality of each stone. Technical innovation is another distinguishing feature: in some pendants, the chain passes through the bird, creating the illusion of suspended flight. Certain pieces showcase the Maison’s iconic gems, including kunzite, morganite, and tanzanite, celebrating Tiffany & Co.’s legacy of artistry, ingenuity, and craftsmanship.
