Chanel Eternal N°5: the Perfume Becomes Jewelry

The Maison’s signature number takes center stage in two new creations in gold and diamonds. In Eternal N°5, glamour meets high jewelry through transformable pieces and concealed details

Everyone knows Gabrielle Chanel’s N°5: the runway shows held on the fifth day of the month, the iconic 2.55 bag, the unmistakable scent of a fragrance that defined an era. A powerful number that captured the essence of the Chanel woman. And it’s precisely that symbolic figure, chosen by Coco in 1921 and already celebrated in Ernest Beaux’s 2021 high jewelry collection, that returns in Eternal N°5, two new creations in gold and diamonds.
A short necklace – also designed to be worn as a choker – and a bracelet are the central pieces of the collection, offered in the Maison’s three golds: white, beige and yellow. Completing the line is a set of 18K yellow gold pieces: a bangle, a ring, and a single earring, all evoking the golden hue of the fragrance.
The construction echoes the aesthetic of the 55.55 necklace. And through five emblematic codes, Mademoiselle’s lucky number lights up the Eternal design. Every detail is precise: a line of round-cut diamonds, the number 5 set at the center, an articulated drop that follows the body’s curve. A closed setting holds the 0.30 carat GIA-certified stone; beveled and mirror-polished edges; invisible clasps reminiscent of the 2.55 bag. The necklace is adjustable, designed to sit high or low. The bracelet hides its fastening within the iconic numeral itself. The formal language recalls the Bijoux de Diamants presented by Gabrielle in 1932: geometric clarity, measured proportions, a balance of structure and femininity. The fragrance has become a jewel.
