Filostil, a 50-Year-Long Family Story
Founded in Valenza in 1978, the company now boasts customers worldwide thanks to a production dynamism that covers every possible need and demand, from stock to single items
Advanced Artisan Manufacture and Creative Atelier at the same time. Two entrepreneurial aspects that, to all intents and purposes, speak to two different worlds: on the one hand, a target that identifies with brands, retailers and wholesalers that require a copious catalogue of jewelry and collections, and on the other, boutiques, high-end brands and stone retailers that aim at an exclusive audience with one-of-a-kind and made-to-order creations. Filostil is a more unique than rare case in which two extremely different manufacturing entities literally find themselves under the same roof in Valenza, a city recognized the world over for its lengthy goldsmithing tradition. A tradition on which the Cattelans' family story also hinges. In 1978 they set up an artisan workshop, which has now evolved into a company where 38 highly specialized employees cater for over 170 regular customers and every new entry in a now global market. In fact, a map of Filostil customers’ countries of origin shows that 73% are in Europe, 20% in the USA, 5% in Asia and 2% in the rest of the world. What unites these two souls are the cornerstones of Casa Cattelan: attention to detail, manual skill, state-of-the-art technology and, above all, an enormous ability to interpret the customer's wishes, whether it involves a stock order for hundreds of pieces or a single item of collector's jewelry. The totally in-house production chain means that every phase of the creative process is kept under control, from the first free-hand sketch to the CAD process, engraving, embedding and so on, up to the finishing, guaranteeing a result that is a pleasure to the eye and emotional to the touch.
