Filostil: The Rules of an Exclusive Bespoke
Filostil’s “tailor-made” service makes the most ambitious jewelry projects achievable thanks to a method that combines creative vision, manufacturing culture, and innovation
The most beautiful jewels can originate from a simple idea but the path to making them requires creative skills and competence. For Filostil, a company that specializes in third party production, technique and aesthetics are the inseparable elements of a service that allows brands, designers and companies to see even the most ambitious ideas materialize. All due to an integral “tailoring” method that starts by listening to the intention and then translating it into a concrete project. A design becomes tangible with artisanal precision manufacturing, updated by contemporary design tools and advanced production processes. Complex, personalized, immediately recognizable jewels that maintain high quality standards with direct control over every phase of production can only be created with continuous dialogue between manual know-how and technology. «Our vision of jewelry is based on the encounter between craftsmanship and bespoke design», explains Giorgia Cattelan, CEO of Filostil. «We often collaborate with operators in the gemstone sector who have extraordinary gems but not the facilities to transform them into finished jewelry. Our role is to give shape to these stones by interpreting the customer’s idea and accompanying it until a unique piece is created, in the exact form as initially imagined.»For one-of-a-kind pieces, commissioned by customers who already have a precious stone or a gem layout, everything revolves around the material with strictly artisanal “tailor-made” work: from modeling to production, up to the final stages of setting. Even the manufacturing of entire collections follows a bespoke path: they can be developed from a simple outline without a preliminary design. The creative team works closely with the customer, interprets the vision and produces it through a study of materials, volumes, proportions and details, which only ends when the finished jewel coincides exactly with its starting point. To protect the brand’s creative investment, once chosen by the customer, the designs are withdrawn from the market and are never re-proposed: a declared guarantee of confidentiality that seals each design’s exclusivity.
