IJS Istanbul Jewelry Show 2025 is Growing

The 57th edition of IJS achieved excellent results. The numbers speak for themselves with a 4% increase in overall attendance and over 31,000 professionals from 129 countries

Organized by Informa Markets, the world's leading market maker, and sponsored by Elmas Kule with HRD Antwerp as the Buyers' Lounge sponsor, the 57th edition of IJS, the Istanbul Jewelry Show, ended with a new attendance record: 1,500 companies and brands (71% of which local), 31,459 professionals from 129 countries, a 4% increase in overall attendance and a 14% increase in domestic visitors. In the 70,000 square-meter exhibition area of Istanbul Expo Center, a show was staged that brought together the global jewelry industry, a sector that weighs heavily in the national GDP balance, as noted by Şermin Cengiz, founding partner of IJS: «80% of Türkiye's jewelry exports come about during IJS Istanbul Jewelry Show. That is why IJS Istanbul Jewelry Show, is an event of such great importance, both for the country's economy and the industry. We are well aware of this responsibility and are continuing our preparations relentlessly. We have already started working on the October edition.» In addition to the predominantly gold, diamond, silver and gemstone collections with the latest and most unique designs, the IJS Tech section of the show hosted the most cutting-edge equipment, machinery and technology for jewelry production. The show was not only a commercial success, but also continued to shape the future of the jewelry industry through a series of panel discussions and events. These included Art for Jewellery - Inspiration Hub, organized with the support of the Jewellery Exporters' Association, a design competition focusing on this year's theme “Legends”,and a trend seminar organized by the Designer Club and WGSN, the world's leading forecasting company. Informa Markets organizes jewelry shows in 7 countries, including the renowned Jewelry & Gem World Hong Kong, bringing together more than 200,000 professionals, with a total of almost 9,700 exhibitors. Extraordinary figures also underlined by Cengiz: «This immense power in the jewelry sector is reflected both in the number of international visitors and in the variety of countries in attendance at IJS.» Now all that remains is to look forward to the 58th edition, scheduled to take place from 1 to 4 October 2025, again at Istanbul Expo Center.
