Luxchain by ePlay/Art&sofT to Combat Counterfeiting

Launched at Vicenzaoro January 2024 by ePlay/Art&sofT Group, the Luxchain project aroused considerable interest, confirming the concrete need to certify the authenticity of a high-end jewel

Offering the right solution at the right time is what ePlay/Art&sofT constantly aims for. A company that continues to enjoy success by proposing useful tools and solutions for entrepreneurs and companies that want to stand out in the competitive world of luxury jewelry, people flocked to attend last Monday’s event at Vicenzaoro January 2024 for the launch of “Luxchain”, a project created to combat counterfeiting by means of a platform using blockchain technology. «Luxchain is an initiative that we initially designed to meet the needs of a few customers but which has, instead, turned out to be of collective interest, beyond our highest expectations. The proof lies not only in the large turnout at our event, but also in the many subsequent requests for information at the stand or by e-mail. An interest shown by both brands and dealers, whether dealing with precious stones, vintage or design. I am delighted with the response we have received, which once again allows our Group to be an active player in the jewelry business. I knew there was a legitimate need for certifications and digital guarantees to combat forgeries, but I was really afraid that the blockchain concept was still too remote for people and their daily lives. Fortunately, the time is ripe; the simplicity of the solution and efforts to keep prices competitive have also played a decisive role.» This was the spur of the moment comment from Danilo Alagi, CEO of ePlay/Art&sofT, who was joined by Daniela Sburlati, COO & Co-Founder of the Group and Serena Russello, Luxury Marketing Specialist for ePlay/Art&sofT, in presenting the project.

Created to protect high-end brands and private customers, Luxchain's innovative approach combats the growing threat of counterfeiting by focusing on three key concepts: intellectual property, definition of counterfeiting and blockchain technology. The agile, secure and fully customizable platform, which has been also designed to interface with management and CRM applications, adapts to the specific needs of each player in the jewelry industry. The Ethereum technology on which it is designed is centralized and shared, while each platform is specific to individual brands in order to guarantee maximum security in data management and maximum aesthetic customization, in perfect coherence with high end’s typical standards of exclusivity.
