Vicenzaoro Highlights, January 2025: Donna Jewel Presents Inspiration Boards
A roundtable discussion organized by Donna Jewels and Vicenzaoro will be held today in Canova Room from 11.45 am to 12.30 pm to present an in-depth study on school education
Inspiration Boards. This is the topic of the research on education that will be discussed this morning in the Canova Room with lecturers and entrepreneurs such as Laura Inghirami, founder of Donna Jewel and creator of the research; Barbara Brocchi, lecturer and coordinator at IED Rome; Daniela Bulgarelli, lecturer and coordinator at IED Turin; Alessia Crivelli, General Manager of Crivelli srl; and Loredana Prosperi, lecturer and Managing Director of the Italian Gemological Institute. Objectives: to place the voice of young people on the issue of education at the center of attention; to examine the academic world’s strengths and weaknesses in the field of jewelry design; to inquire into young people’s vision of the jewelry industry’s future. The study was conducted on an international panel of 100 students, aged 19 to 28, attending the IED, Naba, Central St. Martin's, and Parsons schools. What motivates young people to choose a course in jewelry design and goldsmithing? What are their expectations of, and desires for, their course of study? Are the programs offered in line with the spirit of the times? Numerous and varied answers, insights, and curiosities will be brought to the table for pragmatic and constructive points of view. This will be followed by several minutes during which the students will be able to intervene with questions and thoughts.
