Vicenzaoro September 2024, a Success Beyond the Uncertainties

The boutique show is confirmed as the choice of the global jewelry industry, surpassing the September 2023 edition with an encore of attendance.

Italian Exhibition Group successfully closed Vicenzaoro, the international jewelry, gold and watch exhibition, on 10 September 2024 with a record number of visitors compared to September 2023. Italian Exhibition Group successfully closed Vicenzaoro, the international jewelry, gold and watch exhibition, on 10 September 2024 with a record number of visitors compared to September 2023. This September edition confirmed the international positioning of the IEG exhibition with visitors from 132 countries as can be seen from the data recorded. In fact, there was an increase in the number of visitors from Europe, which reached 63.37% (against 52% in September last year), led by Spain, France and Germany, and from Asia and the Middle East, which reached 21% (it was 17% in 2023). Ten new entries compared to September 2023, including Honduras, Tajikistan and Tanzania.

‘After a steady progression of visits we have reached the new normal. The last three years of growth today gives the result of the strategy that IEG pursues: to focus increasingly on the quality of the public at the fair. An objective that sees ICE Agency at our side also in the profiling of hosted buyers. This is an important result, if we look at the complex signals coming from the jewelry industry, with international demand in slight contraction and the latest data on Italian exports with +60%, we could not have wished for a better way to close the 70th anniversary of the gold and jewelry fairs in Vicenza,’ says Corrado Peraboni, CEO of Italian Exhibition Group.

‘Thanks to a strategic tandem with the operations management, we overcame the challenge of the new layout with full navigability of the district despite the ‘work in progress’. This, as we have been acknowledged by the operators themselves, has eliminated the impact of the construction site for the new hall on the 1,200 exhibitors and visitors. Moreover, VO'Clock Privé confirmed itself as a unique format in Italy for opening up the world of watches to the public. Media visibility of the event and the increasingly high quality of the events, both at the fair and in town with VI-OFF, confirm Vicenzaoro's status as a reference point for the international community,’ adds Matteo Farsura, global exhibition manager of IEG's Jewellery & Fashion division.

IEG's Jewellery Agenda continues with JGT - Jewelry, Gems and Technology in Dubai from 12 to 14 November. While in Italy the jewelry industry will be meeting in the production districts for the Valenza Gem Forum on 10 October and at the Summit del Gioiello Italiano in Arezzo in December.

While Vicenzaoro January from 17 to 21 January will be the first international gold and jewelry event of 2025.
