Voices that provide food for thought on how the Italian jewelry panorama is able to be so wide
VicenzaOro September opens today with all the preconditions of establishing yet another milestone in the evolution of Italian Exhibition Group (IEG) and The Jewellery Boutique Show, an exhibition format which is now well consolidated and of reference on an international scale. In fact, VicenzaOro is opening the doors of this September edition with a new summit - Visio.Next: Trends at 10 o’clock in Sala Tiziano in Hall 7.1, - which, following its January debut that focused on the theme of sustainability and the future of luxury and jewelry, this time will be dealing with trends, another just as fundamental topic. Chairing Visio.Next: Trends is Lauren Kulchinsky Levison, Vice President, Chief Style Officer and Curator of Mayfair Rocks as well as one of VicenzaOro’s most steadfast regulars and greatest experts on the Show’s system and the power of made in Italy. She will be joined on stage by some of the sector’s most authoritative names: starting from Alessia Crivelli, marketing manager of a company that not only has staggering numbers but is also an icon of creativity and all-Italian manufacture, and Alessio Boschi, designer from Rome who relocated in Bangkok years ago and is here at VicenzaOro for the first time. Voices that provide food for thought on how the Italian jewelry panorama is able to be so wide, multi-faceted and excellent and from which to trace a profile with particular emphasis on trends told by Paola De Luca, Forecaster & Creative Director and Founder of Trendvision Jewellery & Forecasting, the global jewelry and luxury goods Forecasting Center. Marco Carniello, Jewellery & Fashion Division Director of IEG, will talk and focus on the news and value of this edition and the communication of up and coming trends. The stage will then be handed over to Jamie Freed, Global Vice President of Farfetch Private Client, an extraordinary virtual platform with over 900 stores around the world, which, since last May, has also included a jewelry and luxury watch hub and, just yesterday, launched its first IPO on the New York Stock Exchange. And, talking of watches, one of this edition’s new entries, The Watch Room, an area entirely dedicated to twelve independent brands, will be giving a preview of their mechanical and quartz models.

Also at its first September appearance is The Design Room, an exhibition concept specifically for those designers who, by daring to embark on new creative paths, just like Alessio Boschi, have been able to create their own extremely personal style, often by using particular and innovative technologies. Another theme that will be tackled over the next few days is high-tech applied to the jewelry world with T.Evolution, a section dedicated to the design and development of specialized tools and small machinery, organized in collaboration with Technical Partner, CPV – Centro Produttività Veneto. A preview of what T.Gold, the real technology show that will be staged as always at VicenzaOro January, will have to offer. At the end of the summit, business will officially start with the opening ceremony and cutting of the ribbon at 12 o’clock, in the presence of a considerable number of eminent authorities: the President of IEG, Lorenzo Cagnoni, the Indian Ambassador to Italy, Reenat Sandhu, the Minister of Regional Affairs and Autonomies, Senator Erika Stefani, the Vice Minister for Economic Development, Honorable Dario Galli, the President of ICE, Michele Scannavini, the Prefect of Vicenza, Umberto Guidato, the Mayor of Vicenza, Francesco Rucco, the President of the Province of Vicenza, Maria Cristina Franco, the Veneto Region Councilor for Education, Work and Equal Opportunities, Elena Donazzan, and the Commissioner of Vicenza, Giuseppe Petronzi. Organizations and economic categories will also be highly represented by: the President of CIBJO, Gaetano Cavalieri, the President of Confindustria Federorafi, Ivana Ciabatti, the President of Confartigianato Orafi, Andrea Boldi, CNA’s National Jewelers’ Spokesman, Arduino Zappaterra, and the President of Vicenza’s inter-categorial Jewelers’ Board, Andrea Fabbian.
