A mix of technology and minimalistic style for the Nomos Metro Neomatik   

Nomos is a young independent German brand that was founded in 1990 and based in Glashütte.  It makes its own movements on-site (10 calibres in total) whilst its watches are designed in Berlin (80 models in 12 collections). Announcing the arrival of the neomatik 1st edition with 10 beautiful new watch models powered by the innovative DUW 3001 caliber within. This new collection will appeal to those who appreciate the slender aesthetic of hand-wound watches for which NOMOS Glashütte is renowned, but also desire the convenience of automatic winding. The combination of characteristics found in the neomatik collection was, until now, unknown in the watchmaking world; these watches are slender, automatic, and capable of chronometer-level accuracy, yet remain within NOMOS’ established price range. The 35mm steel case means both men and women can wear it. Its self-winding DUW3001 calibre fuels the 42-hour power reserve, hours and minutes (in the centre) and small seconds (at 6). There’s a choice of two dial colours: silver white and sandy beige. The subtle dotted minute track glows turquoise or orange, depending on the model, whilst the hour markers are all different sizes and colours. This focus on innovation is also reflected on the dials of the neomatik 1st edition series, either with cyan blue or neon orange accents on the dials.
