Water can destroy the mechanics of a timepiece. So it’s an amazing feat that HYT, an independent Swiss watchmaker, creates mechanical timepieces that use liquid to display the time and other indications.

The HYT Skull Bad Boy is a watch with attitude. A black-coloured liquid displays the time, which cannot be seen at night—a decision the company stands behind, saying it is in keeping with its spirit and aesthetics. The skull is coated with an exclusive composite material made to resemble Damascus steel. The power reserve indicator in the right eye socket gets darker as the piece reaches the end of its 65-hour power reserve. The left eye socket houses the seconds disc.
