The young designer chose VicenzaOro for the official launch of her jewelry line
she went back to her first love, using the strength of stones to create bold, beautiful jewels
When she was a little girl, she didn’t play with dolls.
Brazilian designer was raised in Poços de Caldas, the heart of the Minas Gerais region, a land rich in precious stones. Bia would pass the time in mines, looking for new stones. She didn’t understand their value, but enjoyed collecting them and playing with their colors. When her parents moved, she began to miss those places and the things she did there; so, after studying art, she went back to her first love, using the strength of stones to create bold, beautiful jewels, so rich in content, they awaken strong emotions. The young designer just launched her line of jewels of the same name.

What made you choose VicenzaOro January for your debut?
I founded my brand one year ago. I needed these first twelve months to take care of the bureaucratic side of things. I waited for the best time for my official launch: the Design Room at VicenzaOro was the right moment.
Do you find a difference between the Brazilian and Italian markets?
Every market is different. To capture the Italian market, I entrusted Ivan Perini, a jewelry and gold expert with vast knowledge.
What about your collections?
The first one is called Arpia, for the species of eagles (Harpy) we have in Brazil: It is the strongest of all archetypes. I created the jewels of this line to give strength to women. The stones I chose all have therapeutic properties. The second is Portal, which describes our search for ourselves. Its geometric lines represent our superstructures, black diamonds, reversed, represent our emotions and white diamonds, intuition. Beat (like heartbeat) is the most youthful and fashionable line: Chokers, rings and bracelets hold positive messages.
