Next Destination, Vicenzaoro September

Marco Carniello, Global Exhibition Director Jewelry & Fashion at IEG, outlines the profile of the upcoming September edition amid new trends, mainstream activities and investments in the future of jewelry

«In which direction is the jewelry world heading? What trends will be the next challenge? Every buyer knows: these are the crucial questions that need to be answered to keep up with the times. And Vicenzaoro is definitely one of the must-attend international venues. The IEG event is now an absolute certainty, because a fundamental pillar of the Vicenza Boutique Show is precisely its ability to anticipate the near future of jewelry. With 8 halls representing the entire supply chain, you not only have the very latest in design and precious stones at your fingertips, but also innovative ideas from the production segment, new processes, packaging and so on, in a range that goes from fashion brand to high-end. In September, we will also be re-staging an area dedicated to lab grown diamond, one of the latest mainstream activities, while for watchmaking, we will be featuring the BtoB format of Time and the BtoC of VO Clock Privè. For years, the September event has also provided the moment to launch the Trendbook, the publication that is a source of inspiration for manufacturers and designers, put together by Paola De Luca, Creative Director of Trendvision Jewellery + Forecasting, Vicenzaoro’s independent observatory. In short, buyers from all over the world know that, at our two annual editions, they can find the ideal place and time for their most important purchases: in September, the European market places orders for Christmas, while the non-European market, such as the USA, is already looking towards the post-holiday period with Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day. IEG’s investment in the next generation of professionals is also continuing. There will be numerous initiatives to support training: Federorafi and Vicenzaoro’s project organized with skuola.net, an Open Day for parents and junior high school student career orientation, workshops for children organized by Vicenza’s Jewelry Museum and many other undertakings activated side by side with the category associations and institutions.»
