Young, eclectic and cosmopolitan, this Lebanese designer presents a collection inspired by the perfect harmony of the colors of the rainbow
«I am happy to participate in such an important fair, that unites jewelry enthusiasts from all over the world,» explains Noor Fares, who presented one of her most colorful and symbolic collections at VICENZAORO January 2018: «We are showing jewels from my latest collection, called Rainbow, which is inspired by light spectrums and sacred symbols.» The young designer is one of the twelve protagonists of the Design Room, the most creative and international area of the Vicenza-based event. Noor is one of the most interesting emerging protagonists in contemporary jewelry; her creations capture the atmospheres and suggestions of the vast Lebanese artistic heritage, enriching it with multi-cultural inspiration and experimental techniques. «I try to create pieces that can be contemporary yet timeless at the same time. I always consider the longevity of my work,» explains the designer, who launched her jewelry line of the same name in 2009. Born in Paris, but raised immersed in the richness of Arab culture, where jewels have more than just commercial value, Noor designs jewels that overflow with symbols and mystical meaning, created from geometric forms and sought-after materials like moon stone and rosewood. Her Rainbow collection is an ode to color and more iridescent shades. The jewels are made in limited edition and show psychedelic stones, like opal and rainbow moonstone, colored sapphires and rock crystal. The collections display colors painted by hand, that emulate a rainbow. One of the highlights of the collection is an amulet inspired by a Metratron cube, a powerful symbol able to balance the universe’s energy.
