Faraone Casa d’Aste: a successful auction

Faraone Casa d’Aste auctioned 85% of the pieces displayed at the "Jewellery and Watches of the Twentieth Century" auction event. An unexpected and almost duplicated turnout, compared to the previous two auctions, has been a sign of a consolidated establishment gained by Faraone Casa d’Aste and optimistic expectations also in sight of the upcoming November auction event.
Last 8th of  May at the Four Seasons Hotel in Milan, in front of an audience composed not only by collectors and traders but also, in contrary to expectations, by private individuals, the auctioneer Patrizia Di Carrobio, has successfully filed this first 2017 appointment.
Exciting duels between Italian and foreign bidders, merchants and private individuals, in the hall and over the telephone, led to a sale of 85% of the items for a total sold of 870,000 Euro. A series of relaunches made lot 110, consisting of a pair 18-karat white gold earrings with 2 fancy yellow diamonds (4.66 ct each) and 2 diamond triangles, duplicate its value when it has been sold to a bidder over the phone at 83,762 Euro. Significant increases also for lot 69, a 18ct white gold ring with a rectangular cut diamond of 2.42 ct, with a starting value of 6,000 and purchased in the room for 16,000, followed by lot 107, a 18ct gold yellow pendant with drop cut ruby, at 6,000 / 8,000 Euro and sold on the phone for 14,781 Euro. This week Faraone Casa d’Aste will end the latest post auction sales and is already collecting and studying rare pieces for the upcoming "Christmas Auction".
