 VICENZAORO January 2017 introduced The Design Room: a new project dedicated to the international creativity. Inside the prestigious exhibition Hall7 of the ICON District, The Design Room is an exclusive area where 12 select designers showcased their original and innovative creations.
RODNEY RAINER

Master of haute couture jewelry, British designer Rodney Rayner is a four-time winner of the prestigious COUTURE Award: the Oscar of the international jewelry industry. Rayner’s creations are wearable art and are considered the perfect combination of luxury and passion.

SARAH HO

Sarah Ho’s design, elegant and complex, reflects the different chapters in her life. The London-based designer originally from Hong Kong preserves her memories between East and West with the creation of timeless jewelry that are magical and unexpected harmonies between precious stones and metals.

NETALI NISSIM

Every collection from Netali Nissim holds an innate sense of strength, power, and spirituality. The designer, who grew up in Milan, was inspired not only by the world of fashion, but by Italian and European culture, visual art, and cinema. Nissim’s elegant and glamourous bracelets, rings, and necklaces can be worn alone or layered, as they are the versatile and chic accessories for everyday style.

NIKOS KOULIS

Having graduated in Literature after studying Gemology and Glyptography at the Gemological Institute of America, the Greek designer Nikos Koulis created his own jewellery brand. Inspired by history and nature, his creations knit together a theatrical and oneiric aesthetic with his deep knowledge of gemstones and precious metals. Koulis, a two-time winner of the prestigious COUTURE Design Award of international jewellery, opened his first concept store in 2014 in Mykonos. His jewellery is sold all over the world in select high-end boutiques.

FEDERICA RETTORE

The jewellery designed by Federica Rettore reflects a sophisticated and organic elegance and timelessness. The designer, originally from Milan, opened her own company after having worked for many years in the creative team of Gucci's jewellery division. Ms. Rettore creates interesting juxtapositions of gold, sapphire, quartz, citrini and diamond. Her creations are simultaneously structured, delicate, traditional, and cutting edge and are sold in the most prestigious stores; from New York, Beverly Hills, Chicago, Dallas, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Aspen, Vail, as well as Giappone, Portorico and Hong Kong.

QAYTEN

In 2014 Qayten was founded in Bologna, far from the traditional Italian gold districts, thanks to Luciano Orsi, its Creative Director. Qayten in sankrit means origin. With this name, the luxury jewellery company from Bologna enhances the origin and purity of the creative process. For the designers at Qayten the realization of a jewel is a fascinating and seductive journey through tradition and discovery; intuition and science; precious metal and nature. Qayten creations are artworks to wear. They strike the perfect balance of experimentation with high-end aesthetic and high quality handcraft.

MAGERIT

Founded in 1994 in Spain, Magerit plays on creativity, originality and uniqueness to interpret jewels that have craftsmanship in their soul. Pieces created with a strong tie to Spanish culture – Magerit is the ancient name of Madrid – but that also rely on an infinite number of outside suggestions, taking inspiration from different places and cultures.

DANIELA VILLEGAS

Raised in Mexico City and now based in LA, Daniela Villegas is renowned for blending classic styles with surprising and exciting elements including feathers, wood, porcupine quills and insects, creating nature-inspired jewelry collection. She has prestigious cooperation, among which the capsule collection for Ferragamo's runway jewelry line.

ZARA SIMON

British jewellery designer Zara Simon has always had a passion fro jewels. Her contemporary jewellery brand is based in London. Each design is beautifully modern whilst using traditional jewellery making techniques and styles.

FERNANDO JORGE

After studying in Sao Paulo, Brazilian born jewellery designer Fernando Jorge has worked for almost ten years as a designer for various brands of jewelry before moving to London for the classic Master in Jewellery Design at Central Saint Martins. His first collection, in 2010, was successful and he moved permanently in the UK.

ELIE TOP

Authentic contemporary dandy designer with minimalist style, the French designer Elie Top has become famous thanks to its jewelry collections. After studying at the Ecole de la Chambre Syndicale de la Couture in Paris, Elie Top began working for the atelier of Yves Saint-Laurent, becoming one of the last assistants of the Master. Following the arrival of Alber Elbaz as artistic director of the Rive Gauche line, he began to draw his first accessories, jewellery and leather goods. He collaborates regularly with various Maison, such as Roger Vivier, Loulou de la Falaise, Daniel Swarovski and Lanvin. His style emphasizes an essential and processed design, characterized by bold and sharp lines, attentive to construction and details. In 2010 Elie Top initiated a collaboration with Baccarat thanks to the jewelry collection "Bouchons de Carafe", inspired by the heritage of the Maison, evoking the caps of jugs and bottles of perfumes of the '20s collections.
