VicenzaOro January Looks at Future
VICENZAORO January 2018 opens its doors and does so with an inaugural event that sums up all the strength, innovative spirit and great perspective that have always made the Show so distinctive. Today, after the cutting of the ribbon in the presence of Lorenzo Cagnoni, President of Italian Exhibition Group Spa (IEG), Matteo Marzotto, Executive Vice President, Corrado Facco, Managing Director of IEG and Ivan Scalfarotto, Under Secretary for Economic Development, will see the debut of the VISIO.NEXT Summit, a meeting on the future of luxury and jewelry, yet another of Fiera di Vicenza's farsighted visions and the recurring theme of this edition. From 11 am to 1 pm in the TIZIANO Room, a panel of high level speakers, chaired by Alan Friedman, will be on stage, introduced by a presentation from Claudia D’Arpizio, Partner of Bain&Company and Manager of Verticale Moda Lusso. Interventions from Carlo Capasa, President of Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana (National Chamber of Italian Fashion), Matteo Marzotto, in his dual role as Executive Vice President of IEG and President of Dondup, Diego Nardin, Managing Director of Fope, Licia Mattioli, Managing Director of Mattioli and Vice President for Internationalization at Confindustria, Adi Al Fardan, Founder of Adi Hasan Al Fardan Jewellery Trading, and Andrea Panconesi, Founder and President of LuisaViaRoma, will follow. A kind of projection into the sector's near future which will touch on fundamental themes such as traceability, sustainability, brand enhancement and multi-channeling, a topic that is becoming increasingly strategic for laying the foundations of new successful companies, as well as more and more central in relations with the new consumers. And what better moment for debate than at Europe's top Gold and Jewelry Show? VICENZAORO January arrives at its appointment with record numbers: over 1,500 exhibiting brands, 80% of which already attended previous editions, distributed over a surface area of more than 25,000 m² and a 10% increase in the number of high range brands. Figures that reward IEG's strategy for creating and enhancing the community whose profile is becoming increasing more global, also due to the organization of five Shows around the world - Vicenza will be followed by Hong Kong, Arezzo, Las Vegas, Dubai and Mumbai –and participation at 10 of the most internationally prestigious events, making VICENZAORO – THE JEWELLERY BOUTIQUE SHOW a constantly growing system. The number of international exhibitors, which stands at 40% from over 35 different countries, has also greatly increased at this Vicenza edition. As usual, the product offer will be subdivided into 6 districts (ICON, LOOK, CREATION, EXPRESSION, ESSENCE, EVOLUTION), each featuring homogeneous companies in terms of market positioning and values. Once again this year, ICON will be a particularly appealing district thanks to THE DESIGN ROOM, an area in which experimentation and creativity will be interpreted by twelve international brands. The LOOK District, on the other hand, will be extended with specific focus on jewelry materials, from stones to precious metals and alternatives. Non-precious components and semi-processed goods, both in constantly growing demand, will be housed in ESSENCE, while the EVOLUTION District will be transformed into a high-tech hub, thanks to T.Gold, the international Show for machinery and advanced technologies applied to the sector. The trend is positive here too, registering +20% in the number of exhibitors compared to 2017, with over 160 companies from 16 countries. The TRENDVISION Jewellery + Forecasting format is also back. On 20th January, this world jewelry forecasting Observatory will be outlining the 2018/2019 consumer profile, while daily Digital Talks, thematic workshops in collaboration with Federpreziosi on digital innovation, will also be taking place. Lastly, ‘Green and Blue Jewellery, Environmentally Sustainable Luxury’ will be the title of an important appointment with CIBJO, the World Jewellery Confederation, which, in collaboration with IEG, will be focusing on the environmental and sustainable aspects of jewelry.
