The Art of Natura Morta

Artist Christopher Thompson-Royds will open a solo exhibition at the Sienna Patti gallery on February 19th

On February 19th, Sienna Patti Contemporary will open a solo exhibition featuring Christopher Thompson-Royds, an artist and jeweler of international renown whose work is included in several prominent collections in Europe in the US, including the Victoria & Albert Museum, CODA Museum, National Museum Zurich and Museum of Fine Art Houston.

Christopher Thompson-Royds first became passionate about making jewelry while at school at the Royal College of Art and attributes his interest in nature - and the depiction of it in his work - to his upbringing in the English countryside. His work, influenced by the Victorian "natura morta" studies of plants, immortalizes delicate flowers and plants of different variety in outlines of gold, precious stones, diamonds and showcases his mastery of metalwork. The exhibition will open February 19th and run through March 31st at Sienna Patti Contemporary, at 80 Main Street, Lenox Massachusetts, both online and by appointment only in person. Sienna Patti Contemporary is one of the most prominent design and jewelry galleries in the world known for showcasing emerging and established contemporary artists who use craftsmanship as an intellectual and structural vehicle through which to share ideas.
