Sarah Ho arrives in the Forbidden City to celebrate her new collaboration with Kimberlite Diamonds

What does it happen when the traditional Chinese culture meets the contemporary English design? The answer comes from the special collaboration between designers Kimberlite Diamonds and Sarah Ho, combining their force to design 12 pieces of high jewelry. Already unveiled at the last edition of Baselworld, the designs were later launched at a lavish event in the Imperial Ancestral Temple in the Forbidden City, Beijing.

«It has allowed me to create beautiful masterpieces that bring my Chinese heritage and love of modern design together and will be a part of history forever». Explained a very honored Sarah Ho.

Her designs are inspired by the ‘fortune of blooming flowers’ with the peony, a traditional flower of China, said to bring wealth to all people. An example? The wonderful suite combining elegant lines of the simple ancient art of paper cutting with the Chinese philosophy of yin and yang. The light and dark aspects are mirrored in diamonds and highly polished gold creating a clever composition of positive and negative floral blooms.
